Get to Know Your WISH Medical Staff
WISH Medical Clinic Manager, LeAnn Robertson, LPN, joined our WISH Medical team in 2014 as we continued to expand our medical clinic to serve the Palouse. She has a vast array of experience and knowledge in coordinating care in a medical office setting. She is currently taking classes towards her Registered Nurseing license with the goal of training to do ultrasounds in the furture.
LeAnn was born and raised in Moscow, Idaho. She obtained her nursing license in 1993 after attending North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, ID. She has over 20 years of experience in nursing ranging from interaction with people of all ages in a family practice office to caring for the elderly in long term care facilities.
LeAnn has worked for two of the past medical directors of the Center in their private practice settings, and most recently worked with our former PA and the current FNP. The doctors she had worked with had told her that she would be a welcome asset at the Center and would serve the community well. When the opportunity came along to join the WISH Medical team, she jumped at the chance. What she likes most about working here is the combination of advocacy and medical care, and that there is always time to connect with patients and minister when led to do so. “We meet people where they are, and hope to help them move forward in a positive way.”
LeAnn and her husband Dan have four children and two young grandchildren. She plays the keyboard during services at their church, and they all enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, and family trips.
Deborah Medel, FNP, has been with WISH Medical since 2011. Debbie joined our team after serving the Palouse for four years as a primary care provider with a practice in Moscow. Prior to that, she was the sole healthcare provider at a rural medical clinic in Idaho County. She is a national certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is registered in Idaho, and previously in Colorado. She currently certified in Sonography and performs ultrasounds on pregnant clients of WISH Medical.
Debbie traveled the US while growing up, eventually settling in Colorado where she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 1997. She has over 20 years of experience, including home health rehabilitation, women’s healthcare, cardiac care, oncology home-care, and caring for the elderly in extended care facilities. She also spent five years in pediatric intensive care specializing in high-risk newborns and postpartum education. Debbie has volunteered with the American Red Cross Disaster Services and the American Cancer Society.
Debbie says that having had the opportunity to work with all ages, it was natural for her to choose to become a family nurse practitioner. “My growing faith and desire to combine my practice with ministry led me to WISH Medical. I embrace the unique opportunity to positively impact individuals and affect a change in the culture.” Debbie enjoys rural living and the close community connections found in small towns.
Debbie and her husband Dave have three children and many pets. They enjoy kayaking, backcountry trail biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, and volunteering with many community organizations.
Monica Eggleston, ARNP, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and joined WISH Medical in 2016. She has been a nurse practitioner for 10 years, and enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and ages.
Monica obtained her MSN and nurse practitioner training from Seattle University in 2006, then worked for 6 years on the Navajo Reservation doing full spectrum family practice including: care for chronic and acute conditions, procedures, women’s health, and being a solo provider at satellite clinics. Monica has done educational and medical volunteer work in Ethiopia and Bolivia, and cherishes the friendships made through those experiences.
Monica grew up in the area, and after several years away for education, work, and travel, returned here with her husband and children to enjoy the beauty, wonderful people, and extended family. She has worked in family and integrative medicine practices in the area, and now enjoys working with patients in her own practice. She is excited to also be part of the caring and compassionate WISH Medical team. Monica loves camping, mushroom hunting, fiddling, and being a mom.
