Can Beer Get Me Pregnant?

Led by WISH Education Staff

Alcohol, Sex and Violence

How can the “Red Solo Cup” affect your future? Since the sexual revolution of the free-love ’60′s, what have we learned about the original “date rape drug”?

This fun, interactive presentation will cover topics such as:

  • Alcohol, myths and facts
  • Sex, alcohol, hook-ups and the whole person
  • Campus drinking and date rape
  • Relationship building vs. relationship deal breakers
  • It seemed like a good idea at the time

“Various drugs are used to facilitate rape. Alcohol is by far the most frequently used. In a national study of college students, 75% of males and 55% of females involved in date rape had been drinking or using drugs prior to the assault. Alcohol impairs inhibitions, judgment and decision-making. Mixing alcohol and sex puts you at risk for sexual assault, sexually transmitted infections, or simply being in an embarrassing and awkward situation in the morning.”  – University Health Services at UC Berkeley
